At first, KMS California Artistic Director, Paula Daddario, wasn’t even considering a career in hairstyling. “When I was 16, my mother offered me a summer job at her salon and I was like, ‘No way.’ But once I started working there, I thought, ‘This is not work, this is amazing.’ I just fell in love with it,” she says. Her enthusiasm for her craft continues to this day. A native of St. Catharine’s, Ontario, Paula trained at Toronto’s Bruno School of Hair Design and supplemented her industry acumen by taking college degree business classes.

Following in her mother’s entrepreneurial footsteps, Paula has owned her own salon since the early stages of her career and chose KMS as the brand she would work with exclusively. She has become an expert in the hair extension industry and her salon focuses on extension services. Paula has also developed an extension program for the FUSION ACADEMY that she runs with the help of her team. She is very enthusiastic about training for KMS. “I definitely feel great when I’ve shown somebody a new method and you see the light go on in their eyes. And it doesn’t just happen with ‘newbies,’ but sometimes with stylists who have been in the industry for years. It’s wonderful to encourage people and it’s a great industry in which to work.”
